The New York District Royal Rangers Mission: Empowering and enabling men of God for the awesome challenge of evangelizing, mentoring, and discipling boys; ever reaching, teaching, and keeping them for Christ!
What We Do....
Royal Rangers is designed to reach, teach, and keep boys for Christ. We do this through a variety of activities: weekly meetings, camp-outs, field trips, training camps, hikes, and so forth. The boys are taught Biblical principles through Bible studies and devotions, as well as through the example of godly leaders called Commanders.
Royal Rangers is one of America's largest and foremost adventure programs designed for boys and young men 5 - 17 years old. This effective and exciting ministry began in 1962 and has grown around the world. The program includes recreation, first aid, crafts and hobby skills, nature study, camping, education, ceremonies and much more.
Royal Rangers is the ultimate adventure for boys ages 5-17 years old. The New York District Royal Rangers is committed to helping develop these boys into the leaders of the future. The goal of Royal Rangers is to Reach, Teach, and Keep our boys for Jesus Christ. The boys are led by Godly, devoted leaders who will use camping, sports, bible study, hiking, crafts and devotions as a vehicles to show the boys how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, God's only Son.
This site is devoted to supporting the New York District Royal Rangers and it's sections. If you have any suggestions to making this site more effective For the Work of the Lord.
Royal Rangers was founded in 1962 by Johnnie Barnes. Since that time, Royal Rangers has spread all over the United States and into over 63 foreign countries. The goal of Royal Rangers is to reach, teach, and keep our boys for Jesus Christ.
Royal Rangers is designed to meet the physical, spiritual, mental and social needs of boys and young men ages five through 17. Boys meet during the mid-week or family night service at church. The boys meet together as a group called an "outpost". The outpost is further divided into 5 age groups to better meet the different needs of the boys.
Royal Rangers is sponsored by the Assemblies of God. Outposts may be found in many local Assemblies of God churches across New York.
Royal Rangers gives boys a chance to grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ through adventure and discovery. It also gives them a chance to make new friends. Above all, it is our prayer that the boys will come to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and begin a personal relationship with Him. We want to grow Godly men.
