Robert Spanarelli
Communication Coordinator
Rob grew up and still lives on Long Island, NY. In 2016 he joined Royal Rangers as a Commander at Outpost 149 and presently serves by tracking advancements and organizing the curriculum for the entire outpost. In 2022 he became the Asst. Outpost Coordinator of OP149 where he still serves today. He also serves as the Communication Coordinator for the Long Island Section, and as of Feb 2026 is serving as the NY Ministry Network Royal Rangers Communication Coordinator. Rob, (Digits), remains an active in Frontier Camping Fellowship and is a Buckskin member.
Rob studied Ministry at Liberty University and Western Theological Seminary. In February of 2010, he became, and remains, an Ordained Chaplain. In 1996 he graduated from the NY State OMH Police Academy and was hired as an Officer for the NY State Office of Mental Health Police Department. In 1997 he resigned from NY OMH PD to become a NY City Correction Officer. He served 20 years as an Officer in NYCD, but he had to retire due to a Line of Duty Injury in 2016.
Rob has been married to his wife for 26 years. He and his wife Julie enjoy working together as Commanders in the OP149 office. Together they both graduated the RR Training Academy as NY District RR Instructors and enjoy teaching new RR leaders. Together they have 5 Children, 4 boys and 1 girl. Three of their boys are GMA recipients and are members of the New York Saber Corp. Their youngest son is on track to do the same. Rob, his wife Julie and their children enjoy traveling and camping with their RV and spending Saturday nights at the Riverhead Raceway.
