As an integral part of the Royal Rangers ministry, shooting sports gives young men the opportunity to develop discipline and self-control. Additionally shooting sports helps to build the mentoring relationship. Shooting sports activities are fun, interactive, and help to fulfill a young man’s growth and advancement.
Following the guidelines and joining with the spirit and purpose of the National Shooting Sports Program (NSSP) we are promoting safe and responsible participation in shooting sports activities by Royal Rangers members. The NSSP exists to support the mission and purpose of Royal Rangers, while promoting a safe and rewarding shooting sports experience for all.
Shooting sports disciplines currently include:
- BB Gun
- Air Rifle
- Small Bore / .22 Caliber Rifle
- Shotgun / Trap Shooting
- Black Powder Rifle
Shooting Sports events include:
- Postal Competitions for Black Powder, Trap, 22 Rifle
- Shooting Sports Action Camp
- Shooting Ranges at Pow Wow, and FCF Events
Discounts & Grants
Through the NSSP, Royal Rangers Leaders have options for help in purchasing equipment to help with participation in Shooting Sports. NRA and other grants are also available for outposts and sections. For more information, please contact Anthony Cannella.
